A Bathroom Attendant at Happier is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and providing a pleasant experience for restroom users.

The ideal candidate will quickly be able to adapt to the brand, values, and culture of the company, evoking passion and excitement for the process in all involved while providing an upbeat and positive client and team experience. Because we are a small team, we all wear many hats and are happy to roll up our sleeves and lend a hand whenever needed. Can-do attitudes and respectful, inclusive outlooks are greatly valued and expected of all team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Regularly clean and sanitize restroom fixtures, floors, and surfaces.
  • Ensure all restroom amenities are in working order (e.g., soap dispensers, hand dryers, toilet paper holders).
  • Promptly report any maintenance or repair needs.
  • Greet restroom users in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Provide towels, soap, and other amenities as needed.
  • Offer assistance to guests with special needs, such as providing access to accessible facilities.
  • Monitor and replenish restroom supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels) as necessary.
  • Keep an inventory of supplies and request refills as needed.
  • Ensure that the restroom remains clean and orderly throughout the shift.
  • Remove trash and used paper towels promptly.
  • Prevent misuse or vandalism of restroom facilities.
  • Address any guest concerns or complaints courteously and professionally.
  • Maintain a friendly and helpful demeanor at all times.
  • Adhere to strict hygiene and sanitation protocols.
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines.

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor to provide a positive experience for restroom users.
  • Strong commitment to maintaining a clean and sanitary restroom environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks related to restroom maintenance.
  • A keen eye for cleanliness and the ability to notice when supplies need replenishing.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times.
  • Effective communication to assist guests and address any issues that may arise.
  • Reliable and punctual attendance to ensure continuous restroom service.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and willingness to follow them.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, such as cleaning, restocking, and guest assistance, simultaneously.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
