The Weatherspoon Agency (TWA) is seeking coachable, passionate individuals to join our virtual team as remote Benefits Agent.

We are a captive regional agency of American Income Life (AIL) which has been in business for over 68 years. As a captive agency, we are the only 100% union-based premier supplemental benefits company. We work with over 40,000 labor unions nationwide that include various working-class groups such as the military, law enforcement, first responders, governmental employees, auto workers, and teamsters. We even include the music and entertainment industry associations, along with professional sports teams including the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, and Atlanta Braves. Altogether they all represent over 5 million active policy-holding members and counting.

We are unique since our customers are informed of our benefits and services through their unions and associations representatives prior to us reaching out directly (No Cold Calling). Their members make direct (often personally handwritten and mailed) requests for our benefits packages directly to our company. They understand the importance of additional coverage, because their standard work benefits are often eliminated or can be reduced upon retirement. We then provide them and their families with permanent benefits to give them the protection and peace of mind they need throughout their and their family's lifetime.

What we provide

No Cost Leads: Enjoy fresh, warm direct request leads provided to you at NO COST.

Monthly Renewals: Every time you make a sale, or as a Manager, one of your agents makes a sale, a percentage of the premium paid on the policy each month is credited to you. After you make the initial sale, you will receive this renewal, based on the vesting provisions of the contract, month in and month out as long as the policyholder continues to pay their premium. Your monthly renewals increase with every sale!

Qualifications

Being a resident of either Georgia, Florida, Ohio, North Carolina, South Carolina, or Texas: This allows you the ability to have a Life, Accidental, and Hospitalization Insurance License in the state of Georgia. (*You may also have a resident license in Florida, Ohio, North Carolina, or South Carolina; it is recommended to also get an additional non-resident license for Georgia.)

Coachability: A willingness to listen, learn, adapt, and embrace new challenges is essential. We value individuals who are open to growth and strive to improve their skills.

Self-Reliance: You should be comfortable working independently while also being a contributing member of a supportive team.

Customer-Centric Attitude: Exceptional customer service skills, including active listening, empathy, and clear communication, are vital to succeed in this role.

Experience: While prior experience in insurance sales is a plus, we encourage candidates from diverse backgrounds to apply. Your ability to connect with people and assist them in their decision-making journey is what matters most.

Remote Work Skills: As a remote worker, you should be self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing your time effectively to meet goals.
