JOB TITLE: Retail Casualty Claims Adjuster
IN THIS JOB YOU WILL:
- Interact with our customers each and every day via email, telephone, and written correspondence.
- Using your highly specialized knowledge and experience you will be required to adjudicate casualty claims in a variety of industries including: Grocers, Restaurants, and Convenience stores.
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- A minimum of three years’ work experience work experience handling third party, commercial general liability and bodily injury claims. Previous experience handling litigation claims preferred. Experience in a carrier environment highly preferred.
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and a passion for continued learning. Having earned industry specific designations as well is helpful, but not required.
- Polished and professional written and verbal communication skills. The ability to read, speak and write English and Spanish fluently (including insurance specific terminology) is required.
- Ability to travel on an as needed basis, with both day trips and overnights, approximately 25% of the time.
- Must be able to exercise discretion and independent judgment in order to manage a caseload without detailed oversight by a manager.

- Natural curiosity is key.
- With lots of tasks competing for your time, excellent time management and prioritization skills are important.

- Like the other Adjusters you will be working with, you’ll need a good head on your shoulders to create innovative strategies to resolve claims to the best possible outcome.
