Bilingual (English/Spanish) Part Time Child Psychiatrist



Our Client is seeking a part time Child Psychiatrist for their fabulous organization.

 

This is a consulting position. The prescriber will provide treatment to children and adolescents in an outpatient clinic setting, and possess excellent clinical and writing skills with an ability to multi-task. 

Responsibilities:

-Manage caseload of socio-culturally diverse children and adolescent clients

-Provide assessment, evaluation, and diagnosis according to DSM-5 criteria

-Completion of psychiatric evaluations

-Provide medication management services: prescribe psychotropic medication, monitoring compliance with ongoing evaluation of potential risk/side effects

-Collaborate with collateral contacts/treatment providers as needed to direct therapeutic intervention

-Completion of all required documentation in compliance with OMH Regulations

-Participation in utilization review and team treatment meetings

-Operate in compliance with all mandated reporting, HIPAA, and NYS Part 599 regulations

Qualifications:

-Must be a licensed Physician

-DEA Registration Number

-Experience working with children and adolescents in an outpatient mental health clinic setting

-Board Certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry a plus

-Knowledge of New York State Part 599 Regulations

-Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel

-Bilingual English/Spanish is required
