Colonial Beach Auto, a Full-Service Collision Center, Auto Body Repair, Paint Shop, and Computerized Auto Repair, is seeking a Body Shop Assistant Manager/Appraiser. The ideal candidate will assist the Body Shop Manager in overseeing all aspects of the collision center, ensuring customer satisfaction and quality workmanship. In this role, you will also be responsible for managing the repair process, including appraising and estimating damages, ordering parts, and scheduling appointments. You'll work alongside a team of skilled technicians and professionals, providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Body Shop Manager in overseeing daily operations to ensure high-quality repair standards are met or exceeded
• Estimate and appraise collision damage and create repair orders
• Order parts and materials necessary for repairs
• Schedule service appointments and communicate with customers about repair status
• Act as a liaison between customers and technicians to ensure customer satisfaction
• Maintain accurate electronic and hard copy files of repair orders, estimates, and invoices
• Supervise technicians to ensure timely and accurate completion of repairs
• Ensure compliance with all safety rules and regulations

Requirements

• At least 2 years' experience in the automotive industry, preferably within a collision center or auto body shop
• Experience with appraising and estimating collision damage and creating repair orders
• Strong computer skills, including experience with estimating software (CCC One, Mitchell), QBO and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Detail-oriented with an eye for quality and accuracy.
• Ability to solve problems and make sound decisions under pressure.
• I-CAR and/or ASE certification is a plus.
