As a part-time bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial records using QuickBooks and Gusto.

This position can be fully remote. For applicants residing in North Carolina, Virginia, or California this could be an employee position with some benefits. For all others, this would be a contractor position. Hours will average ~20-25 hours per week at $25-30 per hour. Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for 219 Design
  • Act as liaison between company and 3rd party CPA office and provide documents as requested.
  • Prepare quarterly sales tax filing and related income allocation entries
  • Manage client billing and send out personalized monthly invoices
  • Process payroll accurately and on time using Gusto
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements and other financial documents
  • Prepare financial reports from QuickBooks, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies
  • Process, code, and allocate employees expenses
  • Process monthly recurring bills as well as payment requests
  • Process quarterly mileage reimbursement for employees

Requirements

  • Accounts payable/accounts receivable background
  • 3-5 years experience with QuickBooks
  • Experience supporting small business office environment as sole accounting staff
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets or MS Excel
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Availability to work an average of 20 to 25 hours per week
