Business Development Specialist, Investment Solutions Intermediary Relations - London



What can you expect:


For this role we seek a highly motivated Business Development specialist to support our Intermediary Relations function.

The successful candidate will work closely with our Strategic Partnerships Leader to support the delivery of our Third Party Evaluator (TPE) strategy which is critical to the continued success of our UK Investment Solutions business.

TPEs lead new business tenders and are increasingly employed in an oversight capacity for existing mandates so you will form a crucial role in executing a new and evolving strategy.

With a focus on supporting sales and client retention this will be a rewarding role at an exciting time for our growth.

To attend and in time actively participate in research meetings with the Strategic Partnerships Leader.

You will be working for Mercer who has been providing investment services to clients for 50 years.

Our Investment Solutions business leverages this investment expertise to deliver a range of sophisticated portfolio solutions to a broad range of institutional clients.


We will count on you to:


Work with the Strategic Partnerships Leader to ensure Mercer is included in short lists for new FM opportunities.

Take ownership of the coordination of key TPE deliverables including DDQs, RFPs, Quarterly requests and presentations ensuring they are delivered in a professional format and timely fashion.

Support the Strategic Partnerships Leader implementation of a new CRM process using MercerForce and Microsoft TEAMs.

Assist with MI reporting and pipeline management processes.

Keep abreast of industry news and collate competitor analysis.

Develop relationships within the TPEs at a junior/mid-level.

Build strong working relationships across all areas of the business including investment, risk and operations and aligning a broad set of stakeholders to progressing sales opportunities.

Develop a deep understanding and technical knowledge of Mercers solutions across all asset classes.

Work closely with the wider Business Development team to develop high quality collateral regarding Mercers capabilities.


What you need to have:

Ability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders and deliverables simultaneously.

A growing knowledge of the UK Institutional market.

Interpersonal and communication skills.
