Business Development Specialist Location: US-FL-Clearwater Email this job to a friend

The Business Development Specialist is responsible for cultivating new surface transportation, warehousing, distribution and international logistic opportunities with new and existing customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Scheduling appointments and meeting with existing and potential new customers to determine customer needs and offering methods to meet those needs.
- Effective planning and designing of professional demonstrations or presentations to conduct in-person sales meetings with existing or potential customers.
- Liaising between the company and the customers for up-to-date conditions on pricing and services.
- Continuously updating customers on company changes in services offered and providing quotes.
- Maintaining professionalism, diplomacy, sensitivity, and tact to portray the company in a positive manner.
- Enhancing up-to-date knowledge on new services, procedures, and tools by attending departmental meetings, conferences, and trade shows.
- Use of marketing data to maximize sales effectiveness and efficiency by using relevant sales management tools.
- Preparing sales reports and maintaining expense accounts.
- Performing updates and maintenance of customer accounts including contact names and numbers for future sales opportunities.
- Manage customer expectations, contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction and operational excellence
- Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team and other company functions
- Work closely with internal operations team to ensure growth of new and existing business.
- Support key customer relationships and direct participant in quarterly business reviews
- Continuously update and maintain notes and progress on prospects, customers, and sales funnel in CRM

SALARY: $40,000.00 - $100,000.00 per-year (OTE)
