Job Description:

Job Summary: As a Senior Business Intelligence Architect at our health insurance company, you will be responsible for leading the analysis of our health plan enterprise data, recommending a reporting tool and framework, and guiding report developers in implementing the framework and building operational and analytical reports and dashboards. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data analysts, report developers, and other members of the IT team to understand business requirements, design efficient and effective reporting solutions, and provide technical expertise and guidance to ensure successful implementation of the BI framework.

Responsibilities:
Lead the analysis of health plan enterprise data, including data from various sources such as claims, enrollment, provider, and member data, to identify business insights and opportunities for reporting and analytics.
Evaluate and recommend a reporting tool and framework that best aligns with the organization's needs, capabilities, and strategic goals.
Define and implement the BI architecture and data modeling best practices, including data integration, data warehousing, and data transformation processes.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, data analysts, and report developers to gather requirements, design data models, and create reporting specifications.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to report developers in implementing the BI framework, including building operational and analytical reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
Develop and maintain documentation, including data dictionaries, data flow diagrams, and technical specifications, to ensure consistent understanding and usage of the BI framework.
Perform data validation and quality assurance (QA) to ensure accuracy, reliability, and integrity of reports and dashboards.
Optimize performance and scalability of the reporting solutions, and troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data integration, data modeling, and reporting tools.
Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in BI, data analytics, and data visualization to drive innovation and continuous improvement in the BI framework.
Provide mentoring, training, and support to report developers to enhance their technical skills and ensure adherence to the BI framework.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Master's degree is a plus.
Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Architect, with at least 8-10 years of hands-on experience in designing and implementing BI solutions.
Strong proficiency in data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL concepts and technologies(link removed) /> Expertise in at least one leading reporting tool such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik, and ability to evaluate and recommend the right tool for the organization's needs.
Solid understanding of health plan enterprise data domains, including claims, enrollment, provider, and member data, and related data integration and transformation requirements.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data visualization skills.
Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.
Ability to provide technical guidance and mentoring to report developers, and drive adherence to best practices and standards.
Experience with agile development methodologies and project management concepts.
Tableau or Power BI certification(s) is a plus.
