Los Alamos Retirement Community is is seeking a qualified Business Office Manager to join our team. This position is responsible for daily accounts receivable functions of the facility in accordance with the current acceptable billing and cost reimbursement principles relating to nursing facility operations, and as may be directed by the Administrator and Corporate Support Staff.
Our community is located in Los Alamos overlooking the beautiful Pueblo Canyon surrounded by the Jemez Mountains. Sombrillo Nursing & Rehabilitation and Aspen Ridge Lodge Assisted Living both offer a small, home-like feel with a continuum of care and nationally recognized programs. Primary Responsibilities
- Admissions: Responsible for building a relationship with residents, family members and responsible parties to ensure the best financial outcome for the resident and the organization
- Billing: Ensure accurate, supported billing is submitted and reimbursed appropriately and timely
- Collections: Manage all aspects of collections of accounts receivable including billing, cash collections, follow up and wok all denials timely and appropriately
- Denial Management: Manage any additional document requests and denials to include authorizations, ADRs, rejections, denials and appeals
- Resident Trust Fund: Oversee the resident trust process as established within the facility per regulatory requirements
Requirements - Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or sub-acute setting is preferred
- Minimum of two years experience of business office experience
- Experience with Matrix or similar software program is preferred
- Must have a proven track record of integrity and performance

- Flexibility and multi-tasking skill
- Embraces a brisk pace in response time in obtaining authorizations for potential patients to the facility and meeting prescribed deadlines Strong analytic and problem solving skills
- Be capable of maintaining effective working relationships
