The Team Marketing Technology (aka MarTech):

MarTech team is responsible for the technology & experiences driving PayPal marketing activities touching millions of customers worldwide. Team is on a transformational journey to consolidate disparate tools onto a common marketing stack.

To succeed in this endeavor, we need to understand the ecosystems in place across the various PayPal properties. For you to succeed on this team it is important to be comfortable working in a multi-functional setup, demonstrate high degree of autonomy, and have marketing technology expertise in email, in-app and data.

Job Description:

The product analyst will be well versed in marketing technologies and know to ask questions to elicit an end-to-end understanding of PayPal's properties. This individual will be helping build the foundational understand of the MarTech ecosystem by documenting the existing processes, marketing use cases, functionalities in use for email, onsite personalization and data supporting the execution of these touchpoints.

Responsibilities:

Gather current state of the MarTech ecosystem by asking questions that will elicit relevant responses to gain the understanding of email and onsite personalization use cases.

Document the details of the data model, data attributes and their usage across the outbound and inbound use cases.

Document data flows of how campaign data is prepped, leveraged, and ultimately activated across inbound and outbound channels.

Document details of the functionality used for email and for onsite activation.

Prepare and finalize a process for L1 and L2 support.

Collaborate with geo distributed teams of developers, platform specialists, product management team and vendors.

Requirements:

Experience with Marketing Technology platforms such as Braze, mParticle, Amplitude, Simon data is highly preferred. Alternately, competitor platforms are acceptable, but it will require that the individual self-research the platforms noted here and be able to conduct elicit the right information to produce the deliverables outlined in the description.

8-10+ years of Digital Marketing domain experience with hands on with Marketing technologies for email and personalization

Experience with data models and attributes with respect to marketing activation is critical in producing documents that can be consumed by L1 and L2 teams.

Process mapping and engineering capabilities (using tools like Miro or Visio, etc.) to gain alignment on operations support processes including incident management.

Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
