We are looking for a dynamic Business Development Consultant who will focus on developing new customers in the Honolulu, HI territory. We are looking for a creative sales solution leader to collaborate with Owners of commercial properties to develop new business. You will have ownership of the plans and strategies to serve and to grow the customer sales base in the area. You will share key messages, initiatives, and information pertaining to the unique value HBS brings to targeted customers, opportunities, and solutions. You will partner with potential customers, establishing relationships & improving the business outcomes for both parties and establishing customer specific account plans. You will meet or exceed annual account plan quotas and provide accurate forecasting of your orders and growth opportunities.

 

In this position you will:




  • Develop and execute on strategic competitive and market information.

  • Interpret customer business needs in their respective vertical markets and become a student of their business.

  • Develop and execute on Infrastructure Renewal projects; implementing strategies to offset project costs and meet special financing and funding requirements

  • Travel predominantly in the Hawaii area. We can offer you incredible career progression, as well as an attractive remuneration package. 


YOU MUST HAVE


  • High school diploma or GED

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with HVAC (DDC or electrical), Fire, IT (SaaS), or energy industry.

  • Valid Driver's License


WE VALUE


  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Business to Business sales experience

  • Energy sales and control systems sales expertise

  • Experience with Challenger or other strategic selling techniques

  • Healthcare, Industrial, K-12 and/or premium commercial market knowledge

  • Confirmed experience developing and executing strategies for sales growth

  • Understanding of current climate in Connected Buildings (i.e. Cyber Security and Building Analytics)

  • Ability to create/seek out and assess new opportunities

  • Build trust and credibility at all levels of the customers' organization, including decision-makers across the customers’ business functions and c-suite

  • Ability to clearly articulate value and demonstrate how solutions map to a customer's needs

  • Compelling presentation and interpersonal skills tailored to needs of diverse audiences
