Job Title: Business Systems Analyst (Hybrid Onsite)
Location: Lansing, MI
Duration: 12 Months+
Pay rate: $65/hr Client: State of Michigan
Job description: The Technical Systems Analyst will perform a combination of both Business Analyst duties working with technical staff and business stakeholders, along with SQL data analysis using a relational database management system (SQL Server). Work with and serve as liaison between management and business units within the department, external stakeholders, developers, QA analysts, DBA, and scrum master to identify and analyze opportunities for improving processes, data, and business systems.

1. T-SQL - Required 10 Years
2. C# or other programming language - Desired 2 Years
3. Azure DevOps - Desired 2 Years
4. SQL Server Reporting Services - Desired 2 Years
5. SQL Server Integration Services - Desired 2 Years
6. PowerBI - Desired 2 Years
Experience Required/Desired # of Years
1.Experience engaging in business process analysis, understanding the customer's business process requirements, and capable of translating those business requirements into business and technical documentation and specifications - Required 10 Years
2. Experience with system testing and data analysis, which includes creating and running SQL Queries to validate system results - Required 10 Years
3. Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders - Required 10 Years
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and strategically - Required 10 Years
5. Experience documenting requirements in the form of user stories and acceptance criteria- Desired 5 Years
6. Experience developing and maintaining technical documentation- Desired 5 Years
7. Experience supporting User Interface (UI) and database validation activities by documenting test plans and test scenarios, identifying and creating test data, executing test cases and test scenarios, identifying defects and performing defect management.
