Northwest Partners is seeking a seasoned Business Systems Analyst II to work for a premier client in Financial Services in their Greater Cleveland, Ohio office in a hybrid work environment. Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the US. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment Visa at this time. About the Role:
The BSA II position is responsible for the analysis of business processes and their integration with technology on the component or business function the person is assigned. The position solicits, understands, and documents the business requirements, processes and workflows. This information is then used to create the required functional specifications to meet the business need. The position works closely with their BSA lead, business, developers, and testers through each stage of the software development lifecycle to build and test the required capability. What Will You Be Doing? Direct interaction with clients including, but not limited to, eliciting business requirements and use cases while recommending appropriate solutions to their lead Develop customer workflows Deliver functional specifications, interface specifications, business rules, data analysis, data mapping, and acceptance criteria to development and quality assurance Conduct gap analysis between application and stated customer requirements Work with technical teams to develop alternatives and recommendations Collaborate with business, BSA lead, and other BSAs Demonstrates system changes meet relevant business needs Manage competing priorities through effective organization and communication. Ensure quality assurance of required deliverables Test and validate results of production application deployments, and provide formal sign-off The Ideal Candidate Brings: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experiences in IT or insurance.
- 3+ years in software development, quality assurance or IT project management.
- 2-4 years of work-related experience as an IT System or Business Analyst
- 1-2 years' experience in the Property and Casualty insurance industry
- Knowledge of software development methodologies, processes and project governance
- Ability to develop and prepare use cases, functional specifications, and technical requirements
- Experience with user interface design and user interface usability testing in web browser and Windows environments
- Ability to identify data requirements and data relationships within and among business processes.
- Demonstrated ability to use the full functions of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Good verbal and written communication skills are required. The individual must be able to communicate with agency effectively and clearly, departmental, and company personnel via telephone, e-mail, and one on one dialogue. They must possess meeting facilitation skills, and public speaking skills.
