Requirements

fme is experiencing strong growth with significant expansion opportunities and is planning to add high quality professionals to its global management team. We are seeking a commercially focused leader to develop and grow our Technology Services Business Unit, focused on the Clinical, Regulatory and Quality domains as they apply to our Life Sciences Clients. As an experienced executive you will have strong knowledge of the Life Sciences business processes associated with these areas and have the proven ability to develop and manage a team focused on managing service delivery outcomes and growing our footprint for our clients. Knowledge of the market leading technology platforms supporting these processes and a network of contacts at both Clients and within the technology platform provider organizations is important.

In this role the candidate will construct and implement a plan to develop and accelerate the growth of the Business Unit. This will involve working with the Business Development team to determine potential new products and services to develop and introduce, across both the North American and European markets. This will be achieved through leveraging existing deep and extensive relationships with Clients and technology platform partner companies, identifying and developing market opportunities and leveraging fmes current capabilities.

The ideal candidate will have outstanding communication skills, the demonstrated ability to establish broad executive and senior management level relationships and the energy to create growth opportunities by closely collaborating within the fme sales team and other Business Units.

The successful candidate will be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily:

  • Engage with Clients to understand their needs and match these to fme core competencies and capabilities.
  • Manage a team of Client Engagement Managers and Project Managers as required to support service delivery and business growth.
  • Support the identification, development, and closure of sales opportunities to meet sales growth expectations in defined Client accounts, working closely with the Sales and Marketing, and Business Development Teams.
  • Engage with the Business Development Team and other senior management colleagues to define new Solutions.
  • Leverage existing relationships and create new ones with Partner companies, including, but not exclusive to, Veeva, OpenText, Generis and Sparta, to drive sales growth, through lead generation and pipeline development.
  • Liaise with and build relationships with key individuals at all levels in Client and partner organizations.
  • Work with the other Business Units and global Delivery Services teams to ensure successful Client service delivery.
  • Create a compelling market strategy for fmes Technology Services value proposition.
  • Coordinate with fme Partners to identify new business opportunities for revenue generation.
  • Collaborate with fmes marketing team to support the development of Business Unit related collateral.
  • Work closely with our marketing team to educate partners on the Technology Services portfolio offered.
  • Develop a strong knowledge and understanding of fmes solutions.
  • Budget and Forecast effectively.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a larger international team.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in the Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences Industry working in a Technology Services capacity.
  • Bachelors Degree required.
  • Awareness and knowledge of Cloud SaaS offerings in Life Sciences Industry is an advantage, including Veeva Vault, OpenText D2, Generis CARA and Sparta TrackWise.
  • Demonstrable experience in selling and delivering technology platform services across the Clinical, Regulatory, Quality and Commercial areas.
  • Experience managing and leading Client facing delivery teams across Europe and North America.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Strong Client-facing interaction skills with experience of engaging at all levels.

Supervisory Responsibility

  • This position has supervisory responsibilities.

Travel

  • This position is remote.
  • Ability to travel to fme or Client sites in the US and Europe, when necessary.
