Business Function: Manufacturing Operations
ORACLE Job Title this Position Reports to: Sr. Manager, Procurement

Job Summary
Responsible for purchasing commodity materials in support of Hologic's production and requirements, to include sourcing suppliers to manufacture components unique to Hologic. Exercises independent judgment to address material and supply issues. Negotiates quarterly and annual buys as required. Reviews standard and invoice purchase price variances and identifies standard pricing on an annual basis. This role is a blend of tactical and strategic activities.

Essential Duties
The incumbent may be asked to perform other function-related activities in addition to the below mentioned responsibilities as reasonably required by business needs.
Process purchase orders based upon sourcing activities for large complex suppliers
Provide support and guidance on exceptions for transactional activities
Support supplier onboarding
Address supplier delivery or quality issues
Identify and implement Best in Class processes
Manage and lead local cross functional project teams
Lead sourcing analysis (e.g., Spend, Business Award scenarios)
Support and/or lead resolution of quality issues
Responsible for supplier agreement negotiations for specific suppliers, including pricing & terms
Monitor adherence to contract terms
Conduct local and on-site supplier business reviews
Participate and support the Operations Risk Management Program (ORM)
Define and implement VIP pipeline to achieve Net 5% annual cost reduction goals
Implement strategies and programs to achieve targeted inventory turns and implement continuous improvement projects
Lead local sourcing and support global commodity teams
Represent Supply Chain and/or Operations on New Product teams
Define and provide input on Supply Chain strategy for New Product teams
Actively supports efforts to streamline activities within the department such as the supplier Kanban process and others to be defined

Qualifications
Education
Bachelor s degree required; Willing to accept AA degree if they have relevant industry experience.

Experience
5+ years of buying procurement experience within the Medical device industry preferred
Work Experience in Biotech, Aviation or Automotive industries.

Skills
CPIM, CPSM, CPM or PMP Preferred
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Knowledge of Material Requirements Planning, (i.e. Oracle)
Accuracy, dependability and ability to work under tight requirements with minimal supervision
Active in American Purchasing Society and American Production & Inventory Control (APICS)
Build collaborative relationships both internally and externally
