Job Position Title: Senior Software Engineer

PROJECT: Individual will support OptimalCare Referral Utility product. They will support new client onboarding, technology modernization (from OpenShfit to Azure Public Cloud), and integrations within electronic health record (EHR) systems.

IDEAL BACKGROUND:
- Full stack engineer with mySQL, Java Springboot, Angular 8, HTML/CSS
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Any experience with healthcare industry is a plus
- Any experience with HL7 or FHIR is a plus
- Any experience with Azure public cloud is a plus

TOP REQUIREMENTS:
- Java 5+ years of experience
- Angular 8 5+ years of experience
- mySQL 5+ years of experience

LOCATION: NC or open to fully remote.

Requirements:
Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in the IT field
- 5+ years of experience in a software engineering role
- Experience in the following technologies: Java, SQL, node.js, React, Angular, Javascript, .NET, HTML/CSS
- Experience using FHIR, HL7v2 standards a plus
- Experience with Azure public cloud a plus

Ability to work in a full-stack engineering & DevOps capacity including applying the following engineering principles:
- Understands all the connected technology services and their impacts
- Assesses ideas in context of maximizing business value
- Assesses design and proposes options to ensure solution meets business needs in terms of security, availability, reliability, and feasibility in solution design
- Seeks out information to learn about systems that support or rely upon solution to better understand integrations and impacts
- Evaluates service areas to identify opportunities for automation
- Stays current with evolving technologies

Operational Excellence:
- Incorporates proactive monitors, logging, and alarms into the definition of done for software
- Actively drives and owns solution definition and remediation
- Owns prioritization of technical debt discovered as part of ticket escalation.

Experience working in a cross-functional Agile Scrum team including:
- Works with product management to ensure stories are well worded, have appropriate acceptance criteria and are sized appropriately
- Drives completion of deliverables that have dependencies on other people or teams ensuring an on time finish
- Unblocks the team when they're blocked
- Limits work in progress by shipping features / deploying product often.
- Decomposes features into manageable stories/tasks
