Requirements:
3D MCAD modeling with the following software:
SolidWorks,
Use of EPDM Mechanical Vault, and preferably EDA Connector, in conjunction with
SolidWorks MCAD database, to apply and manage part numbers and revision of MCAD
parts and assemblies and publish these parts and assemblies from SolidWorks MCAD,
integrated with EPDM, to Agile PLM via the EPDM MCAD Connector.
Component Engineering expertise that demonstrates an understanding of component
functionality and components classification.
Identification of relevant parts/assemblies within the EPDM Mechanical Vault and
determination of how best to baseline and unlink reference parts and assemblies prior to
publishing to Agile PLM.
Identification of mechanical and electrical interfaces and critical dimensions based on
technical specifications
Application of Product Data Management best practices within CAD
Use of Technical/Product specifications/GD&T and Engineering Drawings.
Delivery of work product/services in a collaborative concurrent engineering environment
Use of MCAD application in real world designs.
Application testing and assisting in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Application of PLM Best Practices at the MCAD design level.
Skill Set Required
CAD system administration and integration.
Creation of 3D models and 2D drawings.
Research results on data capture required for work production (e.g. from direct contact
with the supplier and interactions with internal personnel in the materials organization,
company experts and the overall engineering community).
Continuous improvements of local MCAD Library processes to support new
requirements
Validated 3D models for local MCAD components provided by other users within the
company.
Classification of parts in the MCAD / PDM Vault Library.
Review and approval of workflows in Agile PLM.
Design base lining, release and change control process between company and its
contract partner(s).
Review/check drawing packages to ANSI and ISO standards.
Deliverables outside of the content of the EPDM Mechanical Vault, with EDA
Connector, Agile, Enovia, and/or Team Center PLM databases, including but not
limited to: Process, Policies, Standards and Procedures, Business Requirements
Documents (BRDs), Metrics, Weekly Status Reports, System and Process Training
Material.
