JOB SUMMARY:



MUST HAVE A CAR AND DRIVER'S LICENSE TO BE A CHHA FLOATER. Will be compensated at a higher Pay Rate. Responsibilities will be: to carry out health care tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and who may also provide assistance with personal hygiene, housekeeping and other related supportive tasks to a patient with health care needs in his/her home.



 

JOB DUTIES:

• Personal Care – assists with:


• Bath (bed, bath, tub, shower)


• Oral hygiene (mouth, denture care)


• Care of hair (shampoo, dry and comb)


• Care of nails


• Skin care/lotion massage


• Position Change


• Provide for elimination (bedpan, commode, toilet)


• Assist with dressing


• Take temperature and pulse


• Treatments - assists with:


• Transfer and ambulation


• Test urine


• Non-sterile dressings


• Use of prosthesis


• Active exercises


• Use of special equipment


• Takes vital signs as ordered


• Intake and output


• Alcohol sponge


• Assist self-medicating clients with medication


• Homemaking - assists with:


• Meal planning and preparation (prepare, serve, feed)


• Assist with feeding


• Linen change


• Laundry


• Light housekeeping (making beds, dust and vacuum, tidy kitchen and bathroom, wash dishes after meals)


• Grocery shopping, opening mail, banking and errands
