BMS Machine Inc., located in downtown Allentown, PA, is looking for a CNC Machinist on lathe or mill or horizontal (preferably experience in all) to join our team for a first shift position and will consider part-time for the right person to join the small diverse team. We focus on small volume runs, prototyping and product development utilizing a variety of materials but mostly focused in steel, stainless and aluminum. The ideal candidate has 4-6 years minimum experience operating, setting up, programming g-code and working closely with your teammates. The position requires an individual that enjoys creating and developing products/components and parts, with an ability to adapt to new projects. This is also a teaching position with room to grow, but will require a person with a self-starting and entrepreneurial spirit to take instruction and constantly be improving. A qualified candidate should consider the following as part of daily activities:

• Set up, insert tool selection/setting, jaw selection, fixturing and programming CNC lathe with tool turret using g-code


• Set up, tool selection, fixture selection/design, programming and modifying programs, validate first piece on CNC mill


• Set up, pallet offsets, coordinate offsets, fixture/tombstone set up, program writing/modification on CNC Horizontal mill w/dual pallets


• Ability to set up and have others operate on small production runs while validating quality


• Read and interpret blueprints/drawings both basic and GD&T as needed


• Knowledge and use of measuring instruments and calibration preferred


• Background with ISO compliance and safety standards
