  • Responds to incoming calls from customers regarding animal activities and licensing.
  • Listens carefully and speaks clearly, providing information and assistance.
  • Performs data entry into Chameleon, updating information regarding animals or persons.
  • Process and track license applications, renewals, and exceptions for dog licensing.
  • Researches and follows-up on billing notice copies, past due notices, and final notices for animal licensing.
  • Creates dispatch activities for the Field Team in a timely manner to ensure we safely serve the community.
  • Creates bite and rabies exposure reports, detailing the information received from the caller in the database and following up as necessary.
  • Tracks and logs information for Public Health epidemiology and the State Laboratory regarding rabies exposure.
  • Opens, sorts, and distributes incoming / outgoing mail.

Skills Required

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Three (3) or more years of clerical / administrative experience
  • Experience with data entry
  • Experience with automated data processing
  • Experience with financial balancing

Experience Required

  • Two (2) years of clerical / administrative experience, including one (1) year of call-center experience.

Experience Preferred

Education Required

  • HS Diploma or GED
