Were currently seeking a full-time caregiver Personal Assistant to work with a spunky, young woman who lives in her own apartment in Happy Valley.

You'll work two shifts per week totaling 38 hours per week: 7am to 7pm on Tuesday (10-hour shift) and 5pm on Wednesday to 7pm on Thursday (28-hour shift). *Youll also work your regular hours on Agency holidays.

She is someone who likes to be busy doing fun activities. A typical day looks like having a sing-along session or dance party, making crafts and watching Disney movies, or visiting OMSI and going out for a drive. Youll also assist with meals, household chores, medication administration, and other physical tasks like bathing and dressing.

Youll also have the opportunity to help build her skills in different areas that are important to her, such as helping her make her own decisions, regulate and manage her emotions, and encourage her to use words to express her feelings.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Be able to pass our pre-hiring screenings, including a reference check, a physical with a lifting test of 50lbs, and a criminal history background check.
• Drivers preferredif choosing to drive for UCP, you must be at least 18 years old, have a current drivers license, a reliable personal vehicle, at least two years of driving experience, auto insurance, and a clean driving record.
• To meet the client's personal privacy needs, female applicants will be given preference.
• Experience in the developmental disability field preferred, but not required.
• All UCP Oregon employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless they have an approved medical or religious exception. If you are hired, you will need to provide proof of vaccination (or obtain an approved exception) prior to starting work.

Benefits

• $18.00 per hour. Annual wage increase based on satisfactory performance.
• Eligible for overtime pay for hours worked over 40 hours per week.
