Carpenter (3), Sharkbite Renovations
Location: Lower Mainland, B.C.

Sharkbite Renovations Ltd. located in Surrey, B.C. urgently requires 3 Permanent & Full Time, Carpenters. Our company deals with residential projects, from multiunit developments, and single-family custom homes, to restoration and renovation services. We do structural upgrades, renovations, framing, formwork, and mill work along with Custom houses and general contracting.

Wage - $30.00/hr
Work Term: Permanent
Work Language: English
Hours: 30-40 hours per week
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: 1 to less than 7 months
Work site environment
Various locations: Industrial, Residential,
Tasks
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
• Prepare tenders and quotations
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
• Instruct apprentices
• Supervise other workers
• Estimate costs and materials
• Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
• Install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings, using hand and power tools
