J.A. Bradshaw Construction Company LLC is looking for an experienced Carpenter to join our team. The Carpenter will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard, using hand and power tools. You will be working on both residential and commercial construction projects, ensuring high-quality and safe workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Study specifications and blueprints to determine materials required, dimensions of the structure, and installation procedures.
• Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using a ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge.
• Shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand and power tools.
• Install structures and fixtures such as windows, frames, floorings, trim, and hardware, using carpenter's hand and power tools.
• Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
• Take orders from supervisors and communicate progress on work assignments.
• Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a carpenter.
• Knowledge of the properties of wood and how to use carpenter's tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Physically fit and able to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Own transportation and tools.
