Job Title: : Cassandra Admin

Location: Deerfield, IL ( Initial Remote)

Duration: - Contract 6-12 Months

Job Description:

1. Experience in working as database developer and administrator
2. Experience in handling, configuration, and administration of NoSQL databases like MongoDB and Cassandra.
3. Experience in working with databases like MongoDB, Cosmos DB, Cassandra.
4. Experience in analyzing and visualizing the data along with data modeling.
5. Install, configure, patch, and upgrade database software (MySQL, MySQL cluster, Cassandra, Cosmos DB, and MongoDB)
6. Design indexing strategies, Configure, monitor, and deploy replica sets
7. Investigate, assess, and suggest NoSQL products and monitoring/management solutions
8. Investigate, analyse, and present existing and new NoSQL solutions, as well as the best use cases for them? Experience in trouble shooting /performance tuning.
9. Applying technical design and development skills to the creation of database programs
10. Analyzing existing databases and data needs of clients to develop effective systems
11. Create and configure monitors to establish the health of servers and the databases running on them? Troubleshoot NoSQL issues and performance bottlenecks
12. Design, implement, maintain and automate the appropriate backup and recovery architecture as required
13. Submit service requests to software vendors and drive resolution through to completion? Work with internal teams to plan and schedule application upgrades
14. Manage day-to-day replication processes? Work with customers to help determine and deploy the best datastore technology and data model strategy for their needs
15. Ensure all database programs meet company and performance requirements
16. Research and suggest new database products, services and protocols.
17. Knowledge of new and emerging technologies? Following implementation processes for new databases
18. Troubleshooting and providing solutions for any bugs in new database applications? Previous working experience as a NoSQL Developer for 5-8 year(s)
19. BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or similar relevant field? Deep understanding of NoSQL and relational databases and database fundamentals, including data storage, data modeling, and data access patterns
20. To achieve peak database performance, the experience should encompass collection building, access method tweaking, sharding implementation, index construction, and debugging query execution?
21. Extensive knowledge of table architecture, index use, query plan analysis, and performance improvement? Hands on experience with Linux system administration, including hardware and software troubleshooting, system maintenance, and design? Outstanding organizational and time management skills
