The Cat Scan Tech, reporting to the Director of Imaging/Radiology, is responsible for performing various imaging procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

The role involves reviewing patient history and physician's orders, educating patients about procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.

The Cat Scan Tech also prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications, monitors patient conditions, prepares equipment, positions patients, performs imaging procedures, and analyzes results.

The role requires troubleshooting and resolving equipment malfunctions, implementing safety standards, ensuring quality control procedures, and effectively utilizing the Electronic Health Record. Call duties will be assigned on an as-needed basis.

ARRT registered.

Willingness to take on-call duties.

Prior hospital experience preferred.

Review patient history and physician's orders; educate patients on procedures, equipment, and exams.

Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within the scope of practice.

Monitor patient condition, report/respond to changes in status.

Prepare equipment and supplies; select appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.

Implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures on equipment.

Troubleshoot, resolve, and/or report equipment malfunctions.

Position patients and perform imaging procedures; analyze results, take appropriate action to resolve image quality issues.

Enter, transmit, and report scan results.

Effectively utilize the Electronic Health Record.

Perform other duties as assigned.
