Role: Cellular Wireless Engineer Location: Plano, TX Duration: Longterm Job Description: As a Cellular Wireless Engineer at our automotive company, your expertise will be central to our efforts in enhancing in-vehicle wireless connectivity. Your role will involve leveraging your solid background in wireless communication and your extensive knowledge of 3GPP specifications to design, implement, and maintain cutting-edge cellular network for our vehicles. Responsibilities: - Design, implement, and troubleshoot cellular wireless systems for our vehicles during vehicle development phase, with a focus on technologies such as 4G/LTE, 5G NR, and beyond.
- Collaborate with the Product Owner to ensure seamless integration of cellular wireless systems into our vehicles and associated services.
- Develop technical documentation, system diagrams, procedures, and guidelines related to our cellular wireless systems.
- Contribute to projects aimed at enhancing cellular connectivity, including network optimization and the development of new features or services.
- Regularly perform audits and monitoring of system performance to maintain the highest level of performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex cellular connectivity issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to cellular wireless communication and automotive systems.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in cellular wireless technologies and 3GPP specifications.
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in designing or implementing cellular wireless systems.
- Deep understanding of 3GPP specifications and technologies, including 4G/LTE and 5G NR.
- Solid knowledge of wireless communication principles, network protocols, and network management tools.
- Proficient in using network analysis and debugging tools.
- Exceptional troubleshooting skills, and the ability to resolve complex network issues effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Relevant certifications like CWNA, CWNE, or CWAP in wireless communication is highly preferable. Experience and knowledge in Automotive context also are preferable.
- Ability to work in a team and independently when required.
