South Kansas City medical practice is seeking a contract, certified medical assistant to work three (3) days per week.  Responsibilities include the following routine clinical tasks to support medical staff:  Conduct pre-visit planning by reviewing and updating patient charts.  Room patients and collect medical information, measure vital signs, height, and weight.  Prepare, clean, and maintain exam and treatment rooms.  Prepare and maintain clinical supplies and equipment.  Keep track of inventory for ordering medical supplies.

Requirements:  Certified as a Medical Assistant by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or another recognized program.  Previous certified medical assistant experience with dermatology preferred.  Knowledge of medical practice and care.  Knowledge of examination, diagnostic, and treatment room procedures.  Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments.  Ability to take vital signs.  Professional attitude and appearance.  Good verbal and written communication skills.  Ability to maintain confidentiality with knowledge of HIPAA policies and procedures.  Pay based on experience.
