Sierra Home Health & Hospice is currently seeking a part-time Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to care for our home health patients in Las Cruces and the surrounding area. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and rehabilitation experience, primarily with the geriatric population. Duties & Responsibilities:
Working directly with the patients to create trusting relationships
Assisting patients with the therapy plan of care created by an Occupational Therapist
Helping patients develop, recover, and improve ADLs
Providing rehabilitation for patients suffering from various diagnoses affecting ADLs
Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant from an institution accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association
- Current New Mexico License
- One year of experience preferred
- Reliable, insured transportation & a valid driver's license
