We are seeking a Character Artist for a fast-growing portfolio company. Primary Responsibility: - Design unique and compelling character concepts that align with the projects art direction.
- Create character assets such as hair, outfits, accessories, etc.
- Work in a collaborative spirit within the team to ensure the successful completion of the project at the highest reasonable quality.
- Stay up-to-date with industry-standard software tools and techniques used in 2D character art creation.
- Maintain visual consistency across all character assets to ensure a cohesive and immersive player experience.
- Manage your time and work efficiently within production deadlines.
Requirements - Strong portfolio showcasing your 2D character art skills, including character concepts, designs, and illustrations.
- Creative and imaginative mindset, with the ability to bring original character ideas to life.
- Highly experienced at creating and modifying human characters, their expressions, hair, outfits, and materials.
- Proficiency in digital illustration software and a strong foundation in traditional art principles.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team environment.
- Ability to adapt to various art styles and project requirements.
- A keen eye for detail and the ability to maintain consistency in character design.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and take creative direction. Be open to feedback and iterate on character designs as needed to achieve the desired look and feel.
- Able to autonomously balance quality with our production schedule.
Benefits - Contract basis (to start at least), paid hourly ($25 to $40 per hour), or project-based fee
