The PositionOur bank client is seeking to fill a Chief Credit Officer role located in the Shreveport, LA market. The successful candidate will provide leadership and oversight for credit quality, loan operations, and loan compliance. This position comes with a generous salary of up to $165K and full benefits package. (This is not a remote position). Chief Credit Officer responsibilities include: - Developing and managing relationships with businesses having annual sales revenue of all sizes.
- Managing research and analysis of clients financial performance, continuous monitoring of events, and strength of credit portfolio.
- Developing new and existing customer relationships through networking, cross-selling opportunities, and referrals to and from business product partners across the Bank.
- Guiding and supporting business lines, product groups, examination functions, and risk management functions on high-level credit and risk-related issues.
- Conducting required analysis of various credit risk elements for new and existing transactions.
- Ensuring sound practices in the credit approval process across the organization.
- Engaging in restructuring and/or workout processes to protect the Banks assets and maximize recovery.
- Participating in the preparation of monthly/quarterly reviews of borrowers, sectors, and products to track compliance and identify and raise any potential credit concerns.
- Participating in the deal and credit approval process, ensuring appropriate communication with all relevant parties and adherence to credit policies and approval authorities.
- Overseeing effective risk rating system/process.

You also bring the following skills and experience: - Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline required.
- Ten or more years of experience in credit at a bank or financial institution.
- Must have a strong credit leadership background in CRE, C&I, SBA 7a, and SBA 504.
- Ability to monitor, analyze and report key credit and portfolio metrics.
- Advanced knowledge of related state and federal lending compliance regulations and best practices.
- Ability to write effective credit write-ups and memorandums for lenders.
- Ability to make credit decisions or recommendations based on industry credit practices, Bank policy and procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
- Strong leadership ability, written and verbal communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
