We are hiring a Chief Financial Officer for a Boston-based general contractor. As CFO, you will be a key member of our leadership team, overseeing our financial operations and providing strategic guidance for our growth. We are seeking a proactive and experienced professional with a deep understanding of financial management and a passion for driving business success. Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute financial plans, budgets, and forecasts that align with our business objectives
  • Provide leadership and guidance for the finance team, working closely with other departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions, investors, and other stakeholders
  • Monitor key financial metrics and performance indicators, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing strategies to achieve our goals
  • Manage financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and other regulatory filings
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and requirements
  • Develop and implement internal controls and procedures to ensure accuracy and transparency in financial reporting

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; MBA preferred
  • CPA or CFA certification a plus
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex financial issues
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate financial information effectively to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with a focus on developing talent and creating a positive work environment
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements, including GAAP and SEC reporting standards.
  • In-depth knowledge of QuickBooks desktop
  • Experience with Procore
  • Knowledge of ERP integration with QuickBooks Enterprise Contractor and Procore
