NEW YORK, NEW YORK (USA). The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine of Weill Cornell Medicine is seeking an outstanding Chief of Breast Pathology to oversee an academically oriented division and to provide leadership for continuing excellence in diagnostic gynecologic pathology. The successful candidate will have a national reputation in Breast Pathology, an interest in translational research and, a commitment to education including mentoring of junior faculty and teaching of residents.

The Breast Pathology Division has 4 FTE pathologists and supports an active outreach and consultation service as well as a busy breast oncology research program in the Meyer Cancer Center.


Excellent Immunopathology and Molecular Pathology Laboratories provide ancillary diagnostic services and a dedicated translational research laboratory supports academic research for pathology faculty. Clinical and basic research collaborations are available with faculty within the department, as well as with the Cancer Center and faculty from other Weill Cornell Medicine departments. New York Presbyterian Hospital has been named New Yorks #1 Hospital for 16 consecutive years and is ranked #10 nationally among Best Hospitals by U.S. News and World Report annual survey.


Board certification in Anatomic Pathology and eligibility for unrestricted medical licensure in New York State are required. Academic rank and compensation will be commensurate with the level of experience and scholarly accomplishments.
