Childcare Program Manager | Winston-Salem Foundations Early Learning Center is expanding! We are seeking a Childcare Program Manager to manage and train on the implementation of curriculum and developmentally-appropriate practices at our school in Winston-Salem. If you are passionate about early education and training / mentoring, we want to meet you to discuss this brand new position! Pay range: $20 - $22 / hour, based on education and experience.
About Foundations Early Learning Center: We help children reach their full potential, with school readiness, socialization, literacy, problem-solving, self-esteem and other life skills at the center of our focus. Foundations provides premier infant, toddler, preschool, Pre-K, school-age, and summer camp programs for children 6 weeks to 12 years. Our programs utilize the nationally-recognized, award-winning Creative Curriculum with a focus on STEAM in our classrooms.
Program Manager Responsibilities: - Train teachers on curriculum, developmentally-appropriate practices, and quality-rating practices.
- Ensure classroom lesson plans are completed and implemented.
- Assist with the hiring and on-boarding of new teachers.
- Work collaboratively with Center Director to provide feedback, assess needs, and recommend solutions.
- Ensure adequate classroom materials.
- Develop and track teacher professional development plans.
- Complete classroom observations and growth plans, as needed.
- Coordinate and facilitate semi-annual parent/teacher conferences.
- Plan, coordinate, and assist in the execution of summer camp.
- Ensure all regulatory and company policies are observed in classrooms.
Requirements - Minimum of an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field required.
- At least 2 - 5 years of experience as a lead teacher in a licensed childcare facility required.
- Extensive knowledge of Creative Curriculum, developmentally-appropriate practices, Environmental Rating Scale, and developmental milestones as defined by the states early learning goals required.
- Track record of successfully training with ability to help develop teaching staff and evaluate teacher classroom performance.
- Working knowledge of state rules and regulations governing the operation of childcare center.
- Meet all state requirements for classroom teaching positions, and maintain state in-service requirements.
- Must have NC qualifying letter.
