The Monument First 5 Center offers free activities in Concord that help parents nurture and support their young children so they grow up healthy, happy, and learning. Our programs focus on early learning opportunities for children, child development, parent education and leadership, and connections to community resources. Classes are for children ages 0-5 years and their parents to participate together in a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere. Our participants are dedicated to their childrens potential to thrive, and our team is dedicated to partnering with parents on this journey. The Center values growing and learning together, cultivating empathy, and authentically serving the diverse community that we are a part of.

Benefits

• Pay rate of $18.50/hr - $19/hr DOE
• Working 20 hours a week

Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years experience working in childcare setting OR 6 completed Early Childhood Education Units
• Must be able to pass criminal background check and TB test clearance
• Ability to work occasional weekends
• Previous experience working with children ages 0-5 years
• Must be able to engage young children with games, songs, art and literacy activities
• Basic knowledge of child development
• Ability to work in fast paced environment

• Bilingual

Responsibilities

• Provide responsive and engaging childwatch while parents are in classes at the Center
• Support instructors with setting up for classes, cleaning, and putting away materials after class
• Keeping program materials storage areas organized
• Conduct light outreach to underrepresented families to increase attendance at the Center
• Database entry as needed

• Links families with support services through our Community Resource Specialist
