Specific Duties/Responsibilities

Design of substation structures, foundations, civil grading of substation sites
Meet submission & fabrication schedules
Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Recent graduate with a Bachelors Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
Must have successfully completed or be scheduled to complete the FE / EIT exam within the next nine (9) months.
Knowledge of shallow and deep foundation calculations and theory
Must have experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D, Mathcad, STAAD Pro, LPile, and RISA Foot.
Experience preparing and reviewing storm water pollution prevention plans (SWPPP) preferred
Site layout, grading, drainage, erosion and sediment control experience preferred
Knowledge of preparing hydrology and hydraulic calculations
Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, on-site inspections/visits, etc.
Must have excellent skills in the following areas: documentation, organization, communication, and problem-solving
Must be able to multi-task and manage workload with minimal supervision
Must have the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, schedule-driven department
