Duties: - Pre-registration Complete two days prior to patient's appointment
- Conduct telephonic patient interviews and/or pre-screening process to obtain identifying/qualifying demographic, biographic and insurance information to complete the patient registration process.
- Add and/or verify insurance via Real Time Eligibility (RTE) or Website if insurance is not listed in RTE (always scan website eligibility via Media Manager) and enter verification notes.
- If patients are enrolled in a Non-Par Plan, schedule for a Managed Care appointment.
- If uninsured, schedule patients for a Financial Counseling appointment (Advise patients of the supporting docs needed to complete registration).
- Leave voicemail for patients if unreachable by phone. Add comments in EPIC. Try reaching out to patient the following day.
- Ensure there is a Hospital Account Record (HAR), that Real Time Eligibility (RTE) is completed and that insurance is eligible.
- Verify that demographic is accurate, correct any errors.
Skills: - Under general supervision of the Coordinating Manager, the Finance Clerical Associate Level lll, is responsible for performing with moderate latitude and judgement, but not limited to the following:
- Log into Epic Go Radiology Front Desk Department Appointment Report (DAR) running report for the clinic you're covering for that day.
