Marsh USA LLC is seeking candidates for the following position based in Chicago, IL (Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Company policy)
Client Data Strategy - Specialist

We will count on you to:

Utilize statistical methods to lead the design and automation of performance analysis, data strategies, and data visualization related to Affinity insurance programs. Develop analytical and automated dashboards that allow performance to be measured over time across all contractual portfolio performance and servicing metrics. Enhance data management capabilities through best-in-class integrity and validation practices, technology, and digital partnerships. Direct the transformation, improvement, validation, merging and integration of data into actionable insights that solve nuanced business problems. Build automated solutions to compile ad hoc reports. Identify patterns and draw conclusions pertinent to insurance program goals such as profit levels informed by actuarial pricing and reserving statistical methodology, emerging from both traditional and unconventional datasets. Conduct detailed research, statistical modeling, and quantitative analyses using client or market data to promote underwriting excellence, automated and meaningful reporting, and digital optimization to institutionalize accounts within the business. Deliver statistical data in a useful and appealing way for multiple audiences including executive level to front line processing teams. Interact and maintain ongoing communications at the appropriate levels within the team as well as with stakeholders and ensure everyone on the delivery team understands key deliverables and findings. Explore and recommend solutions to project requirements for obstacles where there was no identified precedent. Utilize expertise with R, Python, SQL, and Tableau to conduct daily tasks.

What you need to have:

Requires a Bachelors degree, or foreign equivalent, in Actuarial Science or a related field, and four (4) years of experience in the job offered, as an Actuarial Consultant/Analyst, Data Scientist, or in a related occupation. Four (4) years of experience must include: Utilizing insurance knowledge, actuarial and statistical methods to quantify insurance claims liabilities and enterprise risk, predict the total cost of risk, and monitor the actual cost of risk against predictions; Utilizing problem solving, quantitative and analytical abilities to discover meaningful patterns and trends in large data sets and derive actionable insights to solve nuanced business operations problems and risk management problems; Utilizing R, Python, SQL, and MS Excel to process data for analysis through end-to-end data lifecycle including cleaning, validating, transforming, aggregating, and visualizing data and iteratively streamline and automate end-to-end data processes from receipt to deliverable; Utilizing Tableau to develop analytical dashboards that are automated and customizable to showcase insurance performance metrics across different dimensions including time and business unit; Utilizing story boarding and analogies to drive client team engagement with an understanding of complex insurance trends, along with their connection to upstream and downstream operational goals; and Utilizing time management, organizational and business acumen skills to effectively prioritize analytical deliverables across a portfolio of clients.
