POSITION OVERVIEW

The Clinical Science Liaison (CSL) is the medical & scientific voice of expertise for products and therapeutic areas within Kate Farms. As a member of the external facing clinical team, this role focuses on medical & scientific engagement with key stakeholders and supports the commercial team. The CSL provides medical & scientific expert guidance to key customers for products & relevant therapeutic areas, including scientific exchange & professional development.

*Candidate must live in California, Denver, or in the Pacific Northwest.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES

  • Develops and maintains peer to peer/ Key Opinion Leader (KOL) relationships with key medical experts in the nutrition field.
  • To be the preferred resource on the product portfolio and provide accurate and up-to-date information to health care professionals.
    • Developing high value relationships with medical professionals, paramedical staff, influencers and decision makers through virtual and face-to-face detailing calls, group presentations and other scientific activities.
    • Support the nutrition field with up-to-date nutrition research, disease expertise, and product information.
    • Strategically map and identify key thought leaders/ KOLs that are in line with the company focus and goals.
    • Supporting the professional branded education initiatives including presenting medical data as and when needed.
    • Acquiring and informing necessary team members on competitive intelligence in collaboration with the various functions.
  • Supports the marketing and commercial teams in the development of brand campaigns, launches and communication material.

Other responsibilities of this role include:

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Masters degree in an applied science is required, with a minimum of 5 years in nutrition science including hospital experience.
  • Maintenance of credentials: RD or RN, Prefer advanced certifications: CNSC, RD-AP, CSP, CSO, etc.
  • Experience with crafting, delivering, and presenting scientific presentations to clinically focused audiences.
  • In-depth scientific and/or therapeutic knowledge and previous experience with in-patient care.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage both day-to-day operations as well as project work.
  • Able to work independently as well as in a collaborative team setting.
  • Enthusiastically embraces responsibilities, demonstrates ability to achieve goals.
  • Exhibits excellent time management.
  • Requires approximately 50% travel depending on geography (including overnight travel).
  • Ability to use all Microsoft tools and virtual engagement platforms i.e., Zoom & Teams.
  • Maintenance of a home-based office.
  • Maintenance of a valid US drivers license.

  • This position will work in a home/office environment with travel required to hospitals, clinics, and other office settings.
  • Minimum of 50% travel, including overnights throughout the U.S.

If the position applied to is not located in Colorado, NYC, or California, the following information may not apply. Salary Minimum: $ 105,000 Salary Maximum $135,000. The base salary range above represents the low and high end of the Kate Farms salary range for this position. This range will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, internal pay alignment, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Kate Farms total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and short- and long- term incentives.
