About the Company:

Holistic Expression and Consultation Services was founded in 2020. The founder experienced first hand how challenging it was to find a telehealth therapist who looked like her and could support her during a challenging time. The founder acknowledged that others were experiencing the same and decided to create Holistic Expression and Consultation Services, PLLC. Combining the love of mental and medical health, Holistic Expression aims to support the whole person by acknowledging the interaction of mind and body and offering healing in a myriad of ways. Our clients are typically 17 and older and mostly young adults with a history of trauma, depression, anxiety and addiction. Experiencing life changes, relationships issues, health, career, and school challenges.

Job Summary:

Holistic Expression and Consultation Services is seeking an experienced and dedicated Clinical Supervisor to join our growing team. The Clinical Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and supporting the clinical staff, providing supervision and training, and maintaining a caseload of therapy clients. This full-time position will be split between therapy and clinical supervision duties, requiring strong time management and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health services, excellent writing skills, and a commitment to working with marginalized populations.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Supervision and Support

  • Review and sign resident notes and treatment plans, ensuring timely completion and adherence to standards.
  • Conduct audits of licensed provider notes and treatment plans for accuracy and compliance.
  • Hold group supervision sessions and clinical staff meetings to facilitate communication and collaboration.
  • Facilitate peer consults and provide supervision or training to enhance staff skills and knowledge.

Clinical Practice

  • Maintain a caseload of 20-25 therapy clients per week, providing individualized care and support.
  • Conduct weekly therapy sessions with clients, addressing issues such as trauma, depression, anxiety, and addiction.

Community Outreach and Content Creation:

  • Participate in community events in which Holistic Expression is involved, such as giving talks at churches, schools, and health education events.
  • Create one blog post per month for the company website and social media platforms, contributing to marketing efforts and increasing public awareness.
  • Maintain positive relationships with community and referral networks, promoting collaboration and support.

Administrative Duties:

  • Create, update, and maintain clinical paperwork in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
  • Meet regularly with the Holistic Expression owner and Program Assistant to discuss progress and address concerns.
  • Ensure the effective allocation of 15-20 hours per week to clinical supervisor duties.

Requirements

  • A Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Fully licensed in Virginia as a Licensed Professional Counselor or Clinical Social Worker, regardless of current location or residence (with a minimum of 2 years of licensure).
  • Experience supervising and having completed the Virginia Board of Counseling Supervision training, with board approval to supervise residents. Not required but preferred.
  • Experience using Simple Practice, or a similar Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, for efficient clinical documentation and practice management. Not required but preferred.
  • Must be able to work independently and demonstrate self-direction and initiative.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills to effectively balance clinical and supervisory duties.
  • Exemplary writing skills for clear and concise communication in documentation and content creation.
  • Commitment to working with marginalized populations and addressing their unique needs.
