• Good and proven track record of Hadoop administration on HPE Data Fabric (formerly MapR), Cloudera/Hortonworks
• Know how to build the Hadoop clusters from bare metal
• Good Linux administration skills
• Good understanding of scripting shell, perl, python etc.
• Proven track record of production environment support and team/resource management
• Good understanding of disaster recovery in terms of failover and failback
• Good understanding of change management process and SDLC cycle
• Good understanding of patch and vulnerability management
• Google cloud platform knowledge is preferred with certification
• Knowledge of Terraform would be an added advantage
• Knowledge of monitoring, logging and cost management tools.
• Should have good understanding of data archive/restore policies.
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment having 24x7 production support.
• Demonstrated experience tuning complex workloads
• Must know how to benchmark and stress test workloads
• Candidate must have strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Work with end users to troubleshoot and resolve incidents with data accessibility.
• Ability to recommend automated approaches to infrastructure administration.
• Develop new documentation, departmental technical procedures, and user guides
• Change Management/DevOps experience will be a plus
