Aperio Global is seeking a Lead Application Solutions Architect to join their Application Modernization program in Dulles, VA. This program addresses the assessment of end-of-life applications to sunset, upgrade, or develop new applications that meet current needs. This will require the utilization of best-in-class design and design experience to develop solutions for the Airports Authority.

• Oversee and lead the design, development, and implementation of complex, scalable, and high-performing web-based solutions.
• Provide technical leadership in leveraging major web technologies such as .NET, Drupal, PHP, Node.js, Java, React.js, MySQL, ensuring industry best practices are followed and innovative solutions are cultivated.
• Foster close collaboration with cross-functional teams, integrating design, functionality, and content to provide exceptional user experiences.
• Manage the complete Agile software development life cycle, from concept, design, and development, through to testing, debugging, and deployment, ensuring superior quality and timeline adherence.
• Champion modern web development standards and technologies, facilitating continuous learning, skill development, and growth within the team.
• Encourage transparent and effective communication within the team and with stakeholders, managing expectations, and maintaining project transparency at all stages.
• Drive the optimization of applications for speed, scalability, security, and maintainability, upholding stringent code health and testing standards.
• Plan and decompose desired Outcomes into smaller chunk of tasks, identifying dependencies, distributing works among team members, and foresee technical and implementation issues, risks, challenges ahead of time and develop mitigation and action plans as appropriate.
• Prepare presentations, technical documents, and related artifacts to effectively convey concepts and ideas to a wider audience.

Domain: Cloud Application Development

Technology - .NET, PHP, Node.js, React.js, CSS, and MySQL, NoSQL DB, AWS/Azure

Process - DevOps, Agile, SDLC, Database Concepts, Cloud Concepts

Preferred Tools - Jira or Azure DevOps Tool or Similar; GIT, IDE.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience leading Cloud Application Development team with overall 10+ years of experience in software development.
• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field of study
• Experience developing Architecture and Design of a Cloud based web application at Enterprise Scale and lead a technical team developing the software.
• Extensive experience as a web developer with a compelling portfolio of complex projects, demonstrating advanced technical proficiency and creative problem-solving.
• Deep expertise in major web technologies like .NET, PHP, Node.js, Java, React.js, and MySQL, and experience with server-side CSS pre-processing platforms such as LESS and SASS.
• In-depth understanding of modern web standards and technologies, with extensive experience in responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and SEO principles.
• Comprehensive knowledge of DevOps practices, including continuous integration, continuous delivery, infrastructure as code, auto scaling, and automated testing using tools like Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and Ansible.
• Experienced in developing and implementing RESTful APIs, web services, microservices, and other modern architectural patterns.
• Hands-on experience and knowledge in optimizing applications involving various caching mechanisms such as Varnish, CDN, Redis, Memcached, and others.
• Comprehensive knowledge in utilizing monitoring tools such as New Relic, Kibana, Splunk and others.
• Demonstrated ability to present an impressive portfolio highlighting sophisticated projects and technical accomplishments.
• Proven leadership skills, with extensive experience leading large web development teams, managing multi-faceted projects, and driving technological innovation at a strategic level.
• Solid understanding of performance testing and optimization, with the expertise to leverage related tools and practices effectively.

Preferred Qualification (Plus) - Certification on Cloud Technologies
