As a Cloud Development Engineer, youll be responsiblefordeveloping and continuously improving ourPhilips Hue integrations with other major smart homeplayers.Philips Hue is the worlds leading smart home lighting system and changed the way people interact and experience lighting. The ecosystem is expanding rapidly through new lights, accessories, and exciting new use-cases through unique partnerships developed at our small site in the Bay Area.

What youll do


Build cloud servicesthrough prototyping,implementation, testing, and launch.

Support in designing the architecture and infrastructure for features that connect cloud, embedded, and mobile components, comparing various options and identifying uncertain areas.

Perform data analytics, analyze issues, and identify improvement opportunities to steer the product roadmap.

Collaborate with other functions, like QA, product and partnership managers, as well as engineers from partner companies and suppliers, to jointly optimize our product experience.

Support solutions for our continuous integration/continuous delivery environment.


Your qualifications



Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.

Experience in developing and operating scalable Cloud services on AWS, including serverless and microservice based architectures.

Experience with modern programming languages (Go preferred), infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred), CI pipelines (Gitlab CI preferred), and monitoring (Datadog preferred).

Good analytical and problem-solving skills to write scalable, well tested and clean code, and solid understanding of object-oriented development and other software development principles.

Knowledge of web and IoT technologies and protocols, such as RESTful APIs, OAUTH, HTTP, MQTT.

Effective communicator and a team player flexible to collaborate with partners and overseas colleagues; not afraid to start the conversation and help each other to achieve results.

Salary:
$71,500 - 104,830


Bonus:
target bonus opportunity - 5%
