We are currently seeking a Commercial Portfolio Manager to join our Risk Management team. This role will be responsible for underwriting, portfolio, and relationship management within the commercial banking function.

Essential functions of the role:
- Coordinate and assist in underwriting process for both new and existing commercial transactions
- Identify and mitigate risk factors to ensure that loan structure and pricing reflect both asset quality and return on equity expectations of the bank
- Facilitate and participate in discussions with commercial lending staff and decision makers to advance credit approval process
- Monitor and manage portfolio activities with Relationship Manager
- Lead in loan renewals, annual reviews, and other regular reporting for existing loan relationships, in addition to monitoring and reviewing trends to ensure accurate risk rating and appropriate risk mitigation is in place at all times
- Maintain and manage communication with client base and assist in new client acquisition
- Other duties as assigned within the scope and responsibility of the job
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in business or related discipline, OR level of education that, together with industry experience, enables applicant to meet job requirements
- 5+ years banking experience in growth-oriented commercial or corporate lending environment with experience in portfolio management and/or underwriting required
- Experience in homebuilder & development lending required
- Knowledge of credit policies, procedures, and terminology required
- Proficiency with large server-based applications and typical desktop software required
- Understanding of regulatory, compliance, and commercial credit guidelines required
