Our partner is seeking a Company Town Reporter in El Segundo, CA to join the team. This position involves covering the entertainment industry, including Hollywood businesses and the evolving media landscape. The reporter will be responsible for reporting on major film and TV studios, offering unique perspectives, cultivating industry contacts, and collaborating on digital publication strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Break exclusive news related to major film and TV studios.
  
• Generate distinct and insightful story angles in a highly competitive environment.
• Establish and nurture sources and contacts within the studios to facilitate various stories.
• Work closely with writers and audience engagement editors to plan digital publication strategies.
• Collaborate with editors and reporters across the entertainment team on various projects.

Requirements

• Four or more years of reporting experience.
• Strong interest in and knowledge of the film and TV industries.
• Exceptional writing skills, capable of producing fair, accurate, and eloquent content on tight deadlines.
• Willingness to work across multiple platforms (video, audio, and social) to engage digital audiences.
• Enthusiasm for collaborating with a diverse team and fostering a creative and collegial team culture.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Significant experience in writing and/or editing stories related to the entertainment business.
  
• Extensive industry contacts and sources in Hollywood.
