Contract Specialist (Mid-Level)

OCT Consulting is an SBA-certified, 8(a) small business management and technology consulting firm that provides support to Federal Government clients. We provide consulting services in the areas of Strategy, Process Improvement, Change Management, Program and Project Management, Acquisition/Procurement, and Information Technology.

Responsibilities and Duties

We currently have openings for Mid-Level Acquisition Professionals with 3- 10 years of Contract Specialist (or) Contracting and Procurement (1102) experience. We are looking for experts in procuring and managing government acquisitions of all vehicle types that include but are not limited to fixed price, time and materials, cost/cost-plus, interagency agreements, IDIQ, and BPA. Experience supporting an acquisition office in the Contract and Procurement Series, 1102 is preferred. You will assist the contracting officer in the preparation of requests for proposal (RFP) and request for quote (RFQ) packages. You will also be responsible for the administration of contracts through the full contract lifecycle. The experience can be either as a federal government employee or as a contractor supporting a Federal or combination of both.

Qualifications

  • Three (3) to Eight (8) years of full-spectrum federal contract experience
  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred
  • Acquisition certification is highly desired (i.e., FAC-C, DAWIA certification, NCMA certifications will also be considered)
  • Must have knowledge of contract support that includes:
    • Market Research/Pre-solicitation activities
    • Solicitation Phase activities
    • Post Award Contract Administration Phase activities
    • Closeout Phase activities
  • Must be able to obtain or retain a Public Trust clearance.
    • The investigation will involve a credit, fingerprint, and law enforcement agency check
  • Must be a US Citizen
