Job Description

Required:

• Bachelors degree in engineering, computer science, information security, or information systems
• Candidate should have minimum 7-10 years of experience in Cybersecurity engineering & operations with experience in supporting complex network infrastructure environments
• Hands-on experience with AWS Networking and Security services, F5 (APM, SSLO, LTM, GTM), network segmentation and microsegmentation is mandatory
• Hands-on experience and expertise in controlling north-south and east-west traffic in Cloud environments
• Hands-on experience with implementing F5 products (LTM, GTM, SSLO, etc.) as per vendor and cloud recommended best practices on AWS cloud is a must-have
• Experience and expertise with AWS Advanced Networking services including but not limited to AWS VPCs, GWLB, ALB, TGWs, DirectConnect, High availability and redundancy best practices, complex routing, is a mandatory
• Experience with AWS Advanced Security services including but not limited to AWS IAM, Control Tower, GuardDuty, Trusted Advisor, Security Hub, Logging and Monitoring best practices, is mandatory
• Network Operational Support and cloud engineering experience of Medium to Large enterprise with a hybrid multi-cloud environment.
• Extensive understanding of network protocols and technologies including, but not limited to TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, STP, SIP, MPLS, HSRP, LDAP, DHCP, DNS, XML, REST, SSL/TLS and VRFs
• Extensive understanding of security concepts including, but not limited to: IDS/IPS, Antivirus, Web-filtering, SSL encrypt/decrypt, two-factor authentication, SSL, and VPN
• Excellent understanding and knowledge of firewall, proxy and VPN management
• Deep and strong understanding of Next generation firewalls including DNS, SSL VPN, multi-factor authentication and IPS technologies
• Managed the staff and equipment that handles Firewall, routing, switching, VPN and Proxy
• Excellent communication/planning/organizing skills to create an efficient work environment, one conducive to teamwork and collaboration, and encourage good communication between Client, employees and management.
• Concise and clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage with the client on a regular basis
• Flexibility to work in different time zones, during major implementations, migrations that typically require a downtime
• Created process documents, SOPS and runbooks for managing day-to-day operations
• Experience on coordination and collaboration with multiple vendor for existing on-going issues and for new upcoming technology enhancements
• Excellent knowledge of ITIL and having strong capability to define, execute and enforce key ITIL processes like incident, problem and change management.
• Able to plan, schedule, track and report on simple project timelines/milestones using collaboration tools such as ServiceNow / Jira.
• Excellent Logical and Practical understanding of SSDLC
• Ability to create, plan, and execute advanced Network Security trainings and drive proof of concepts involving emerging technologies

Preferred:

• General knowledge of various Linux operating systems
• Relevant F5 and AWS certifications
• Experience with Public Cloud Networking AWS is mandatory and Azure and GCP is a plus
• Fortigate specific or other certifications related to firewalls
• Contributed as Subject Matter Expert (SME) role on cloud security technologies
• Prepared and ensured the standards, procedures are in place for the work of his or her team
• Possesses a thorough understanding of data networking & security technologies and network implementations by current applications.
• Experience with network performance, throughput, protocols, network security, and infrastructure technology changes.
• Professional network certification from one of the following: Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Zscaler, Juniper etc.
• Exposure to other security domains other than Network Security
