Core (Retail) Banking Specialist



Under the direction of the Application Support Manager, the Core Banking Specialist performs support and maintenance of the bank’s core banking system and all applications that interface with it. This person also assists the Application Support Manager with the management of projects and can act as a back-up on projects. This person also will assist with the deployment and maintenance of these connections, including but not limited to project management, configuration, testing, and documentation. This person will troubleshoot software if conflicts arise, and works closely with the Application Support Manager to make sure all core applications are well maintained.

 

Reports To

• Application Support Manager

• Assists with managing Core banking data; keep informed of all system updates, etc.


• Works closely with the Project Manager on new and upgraded software applications that integrate with the Bank’s Core system.


• Monitor daily production of assigned applications and track issues requiring support.


• Manages the software administration function which provisions access to banking systems, internal, and external applications.


• Troubleshoot software if conflicts arise and make the necessary modifications.


• Extract data, format and run reports, or perform specific analytical functions using the Bank’s core system and related applications.


• Assists with software configuration and administration on software applications that integrate with the Bank’s Core system.


• Work continuously on a task/project until completion.


• Setting up new users' accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues.


• Other duties as needed.

• Experience with Bank Core Data systems


• Able to analyze and troubleshoot software issues


• Highly motivated and can handle multiple tasks


• General knowledge of Windows platform and the Microsoft Office suite of applications


• Project Management skills a plus
