Position Summary:

A critical care nurse provides specialized care to patients in the intensive care units of a hospital that treat the most severely ill or injured patients, caring for the daily needs of those who are the most vulnerable.

Qualifications:

• BLS certification required and ACLS may be required in designated departments.


• At least 24 months of recent nursing experience within the past five years in acute care hospital setting.


• Critical Care (CCU preferred); 3+ years’ experience - Cardiology or Progressive Acute Care Med-Surg experience with PCCN or similar certification may be considered.


• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia.

Additional Information:

CCU – 12 beds

· Heart failure, post stemi, Cath lab, balloons, IABP, etc.
