Job Title: Bloom Technician | Reports to: Bloom Lead | Location: Homestead, FL (Redlands)


A Cultivation Bloom Technician is responsible for assisting in the cultivation and care of cannabis plants in a cannabis production facility. This role involves hands-on work with plants, following standard operating procedures, and maintaining compliance with regulations. Additionally, hands-on work with cannabis plants, assisting in daily cultivation tasks, and ensuring the health and growth of the plants while maintaining compliance with regulations.


Responsibilities:

  • Cultivation Activities: Assist in various cultivation tasks, including planting, watering, feeding, pruning, and harvesting of cannabis plants.
  • Plant Health: Monitor the health of cannabis plants, identifying and reporting any issues such as pests, diseases, nutrient deficiencies, or environmental imbalances.
  • Quality Control: Follow quality control protocols to ensure that cannabis plants meet company standards for appearance, potency, and consistency.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate records of plant quantities, stages, and locations, and coordinate with inventory management to track plant movement.
  • Environmental Control: Help maintain appropriate environmental conditions, including temperature, humidity, light, and CO2 levels, to optimize plant growth.
  • Equipment Assistance: Assist in the operation and maintenance of cultivation equipment and systems, ensuring they are in good working order.
  • Nutrient Preparation: Prepare and mix nutrients and feeding solutions according to established protocols.
  • Sanitation: Maintain a clean and organized cultivation area, following sanitation protocols to prevent contamination.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all local and state regulations governing cannabis cultivation, including record-keeping and reporting requirements.
  • Record Keeping: Keep accurate records of cultivation activities for regulatory compliance and internal reporting.
  • Training: Participate in training sessions to learn and understand proper cultivation techniques, safety protocols, and compliance requirements.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry best practices and new cultivation techniques to enhance productivity and plant health.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in agriculture, horticulture, or a related field is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of cannabis cultivation or a willingness to learn.
  • Attention to detail and precision in cultivation tasks.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures and work in a regulated environment.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Working Conditions:
  • Work in a cannabis cultivation facility dedicated to plant cultivation.
  • Exposure to cannabis plants, cultivation equipment, and cultivation materials.
  • Compliance with strict security and confidentiality protocols.
  • May require working irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet cultivation demands.
  • Adherence to all relevant cannabis regulations and safety guidelines.


Starting Wage: $16.00 per hour (with potential increase after probationary period based on performance). The Flowery offers yearly (or performance based) evaluations per the company's discretion. All full-time employees automatically qualify for benefits, PTO & Paid Holidays after their probationary period; which is 30 days. Starting wages are determined by several factors including experience.

Requirements

To be eligible for this position, you must meet the following requirements:

- 21 years of age or older

- Can actively pass a level two federal background check

- Obtained their high school diploma, GED or equivalent

- Flexible availability (please provide requests or restrictions in the application accurately)

- Can lift 50lbs over their head, stand for long periods of time, sit, bend, kneel, squat etc as necessary to get the job done
